Personalised WW1 Princess Mary's Gift Tin.

An example of the ubiquitous Princess Mary's Gift Tin, but this example has been personalised by the addition of an inscription to the inner face of the lid. The attractively rendered script reads ' Presented to Gnr. Chestermann R.H Z Battery 1914 by Princess Mary. The tin has some residual contents with empty packets of cigarettes and tobacco and a partial 1914 card. Obviously treasured but temptation won ! Good, overall condition, patinated overall.
