Extensive grouping to Lt ( later Capt ) ( Quartermaster ) J.T.Hall Staffordshire Yeomanry, Royal Armoured Corps. Grouping includes medals, mounted for wear, 39-45, Africa ( 8th Army bar ), France & Germany stars with Defence and War Medals with an MiD emblem, accompanied by miniatures and MiD certificate. Wooden covered photograph album largely containing Middle East views but with some military content, bible and Holy Communion , some wartime and later correspondence, driving licences etc. Also a number of wartime photographs portraits etc with some 65+ 60mm x 45mm shots which include a large number of views of Sherman DDs, DUKWS, Weasels etc poss crossing of the Rhine or South Beveland. This is accompanied by a possibly looted Zeiss Ikon Bob 510 camera in it's case.
Staffs Yeo. converted to tanks in 1941 and fought through N.Africa to Tunis. Landing on D Day in conventional tanks they fought through Normandy and became part of 79th Armoured in July 1944. Converting to Sherman DDs the unit fought at South Beveland and at the crossing of the Rhine.
An extensive grouping that would warrant further research, very heavy 3kg +
