Lifeguard Trench Periscope.

' First World War period privately purchased British collapsible trench periscope with canvas-covered carrying 'box'. In 1915, it cost 'twelve shillings and sixpence' for a 'cloth-covered leather-board box', or 'fifteen shillings' for a 'strong khaki collapsible waterproof case for belt.

In excellent condition complete with instruction card, case with later address to interior and slightly faulty popper fastener.
