WW2 East Riding Yeomanry Medal Group.

WW2 medal group to 7896980 CpTpr.J.W.Best E.Riding Yeo. Includes 1939-45 , France & Germany Stars, Defence and War Medals and a Territorial Efficiency Medal . All medals in good condition with TEM lightly toned with some minor edge knocks.
The 1st Battalion of this unit was equipped with Sherman DD tanks, landing on D Day and fighting through Normandy as part of 27th Armoured Brigade. It moved on to 33rd Armoured for the fighting into Belgium and Holland and ended up as part of 79th Armoured equipped with Buffalos for the crossing of the Rhine. Worthy of further research.
