WW2 Map case - Normandy Interest.

WW2, 1943 dated map case belonging to Tpr.J.Henshaw, 33rd Armoured Brigade, 148th Bat. RAC, 9th Bat. The Loyal Regt. with copy of the original embarkation draft for D Day showing him embarking with jeep no.M5559755 whose number also appears on the outside of the case. Case in good, used condition containing a wartime map of Hamburg.
An interesting souvenir of the Normandy campaign where 148Bat RAC were heavily involved with their Shermans around Caen and then in Operation Totalize.
