WW2 British 5th Infantry Division Helmet.
1939 dated MkII helmet with a size 7 MkII liner by Briggs Motor Bodies featuring a 5th Infantry Division symbol to one side. Khaki textured exterior finish now worn smooth with faded divisional symbol, a white Y on a red square, to one side. Good, overall condition.
5th Div were a very busy Division starting service with the BEF in 1939 in France, ending up in Belgium in 1945 via Norway, Madagascar, India , Eygpt and Italy.
