An excellent example of a cased Iron Cross 1st Class. Maker marked with a tiny incuse relief ' 4 ' for the maker Steinhauer & Luck. . Three piece construction with a now lightly patinated frame, block hinge, flat wire catch with a ' coke bottle ' shaped , flat pin. Cross contained in a clean case with Cross outline to lid, black flock interior and false silk lining. Good, clean example, slight fraying to lining hinge.
