City of London Yeomanry (Rough Riders) Officer's FS Cap.

A good example of the coloured field service cap worn by officers of the City of London Yeomanry (Rough Riders) . Losing it's cavalry status in the reconstitution of the Territorial force the unit became 11th (City of London Yeomanry) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, RA and it's Batteries served in London during the Blitz followed by service in Africa and Italy to the end of the War. This example in good overall condition with only very minor moth grazing. Featuring bullion wire to body and crown, silver and gilt buttons and badge ' RR ' surmounting a spur. Size 6 5/8 with a plush headband. One vertical 9mm cut to the left of the badge but there are no other signs of a different badge ever having been fitted. Uncommon.
