A good example of the later pattern of wooden handled 3rd Patt fighting knifes. Machine drawn blade with brass oval cross guard and large wooden grip contained in a commercial style sheath common to these knives. Sheath marked ' Made in Sheffield Eng. '.There is some evidence supporting use of this pattern of knife by the RAF although popular consensus ascribes their use to the Far East. Good, clean condition with one small tear to scabbard and evidence of sharpening to blade.
