WW2 German M1934 Artillery Feldmutze.

A particularly pleasing example of the M1934 Feldmutze with Artillery branch of service piping. A well used cap demonstrating the classic ' Bootsform ' , the nap of the cloth is displayed in all exposed areas of the cap whilst the original wool surface is shown in all hidden areas behind the skirts and in the fold of the top. Original cotton red ( Artillery ) soutache oversewn by seams indicating application during construction, machine woven cockade and national emblem applied by machine, heavy wear to eagle. Both zinc ventilation grommets present with accentuating black stitching added to the bottom seams. It would appear that stitching was applied to the interior lining to maintain the shape of the crown but this has now been removed. Graduated fading of lining indicative of wear with no visible markings. Good, clean condition demonstrating lots of character.
