Princess Mary1914 Gift Fund, Trench Lighter

A scarce example of the Princess Mary gift fund Trench Lighter.
Lighter body complete with partially used wick chord, flint missing as is common. Body marked with a crowned ' M ' and ‘ Xmas Fund 1914 ’. Lower half of the lighter has the ‘Asprey London’ maker mark. Nickel plating now largely absent with some minor dents through use.
The trench lighter was presented in the standard tin, with greeting card & photo.
