Japanese Good Luck Flag - Veteran bring back.

Japanese yosegaki hinomaru or good luck flag. Approx 85 x 68cms printed on silk with two leather reinforced corners and cotton ties. This example is covered in a profusion of characters with prominent larger characters forming the exhortation ' Ki Buun Chokyu ' translating as ' I pray that your military fortunes are long lasting.' This example was with the effects of Henry P Woolley, Detachment 101 OSS.
Both leather corner reinforcements are intact with one tie lost. Some minor contemporary staining and fold marks with areas of damage, which I would suggest are contemporary and occurred when the item was acquired.
