FS 2ND PATTN. KNIFE COMPLETELY UNTOUCHED, AS FOUND B2 MARKED.
If you like as used and as found items, this is for you. Purchased this week, was part of a lot belonging to British airborne private in Ox and Bucks. Landed in glider at D-day +1, Pegasus Bridge area. The FS knife is not mint, but is complete and shows age commensurate with 70 years in an attic. Leather scabbard is complete, both leather tabs are there, as is the elastic loop, but broken. Leather is fine and not damaged, just dull with age. Dagger itself has bronze ringed grip, steel crossguard with slight rust. Top of crossguard is stamped with War Dept ^ arrow and B2. Blade retains 90% of original blued/black finish, with slight surface rust. Tip is just slightly shorter. This knife has really been there and done it, and only if it could talk. In historical condition and fantastic to find one like this
