A pleasing grouping of ephemera and insignia to an anonymous grenadier called ' Len ' who served with the regiment with I Corps as they fought from Normandy to becoming amongst the first static occupation forces in Germany. Grouping includes souvenir books of postcards from Belgium and France, an English/French phrase book that looks to be survivor of an earlier conflict, Guard's Christmas card and a wartime postcard. Insignia includes two sets of I Corps insignia, printed and embroidered, a pair of 21 Army Group ( GHQ and L of C.Troops ) and two sets of embroidered shoulder titles both square and round ended. Also accompanied by a assortment of military G.S. buttons, wool etc.all contained in the tin in which they were found.
