British, 1916 dated canvas breech cover for the .303 SMLE rifle. Manufacturer marked for the Mills Equipment Co and in heavily used but sound condition but missing the leather lace tie. Inscribed with two Islamic names suggesting later Eygptian ( ? ) use.
