THIRD REICH POLICE OFFFICERS SHAKO!!! RARE ITEM.

I can honestly say I cannot remember the last time I owned a Police OFFICERS shako. They are just so rare to find in this country. They are significantly different from the standard police shake, and you cannot make one out of the other by just adding insignia. They are made differently. This has the black patent leather trip to the top and peak, and a nice green cloth covered main. The large, much deeper Police badge on the front is aluminium with frosted finish. Above it is a BULLION roundel (not the standard metal type) The chin scales are interlinking aluminium and are fastened at the front. Inside is the major difference, the liner is silk and covers the complete interior, similar to Imperial Officers Pickelhaubes. The light tan leather sweatband is affixed around the inside edge. Shake is in near perfect condition, with a few tiny moth nips to the cloth and a small nick to the rear peak leather edge trim. A really rare piece of headgear.
