1917 Hospital Presentation Picture Frame.

A Hallmarked silver picture frame with the inscription ' Cober Hill Hospital Xmas 1917 from Lord Airedale ' containing a period picture of a nurse. This frame was presented to staff nursing war wounded at Cober Hill, a large private house on the edge of Cloughton near Scarborough. The house was used as a hospital during the First World War and is now a hotel. Frame 8 x 10.5cms approx.
