FRAMED PORTRAIT PHOTO R.N.A.S. OFFICER 1917.

This is a beautiful period picture frame made of beaten copper over wood, containing an original period portrait photograph of an officer in the Royal Naval Air Service dating from WW1, 1917 approx. Very young officer is 3/4 pose in RNAS uniform. Bottom corner of frame is marked in pencil with name and place.
Frame is beaten copper in a typical early '20's style, permanently fixed on the bottom of the frame is a beautiful RNAS cap badge. The RNAS was the marine/naval version of the Royal Flying Corps established around the same time. A really lovely frame and picture, original to each other.
