WW1 Mail Home Imperial M16 Helmet.

An excellent example of an Imperial M16 Steel helmet mailed homeby a US soldier. Retaining 95% of it's original paint, inside and out with a stencilled size marking ' 62 ' to inside rim with just visible stamped manufacturer's codes to same location. Leather liner is present and intact with all three pads although string is missing and holes have been pulled through and repairs attempted. Remains of a paper label to outside with a bandage style, typewritten label to inside rim with the address of a Sgt.E.A.Osbourne's mother in Pennsylvania. Excellent, clean example.
