WW2 Japanese Tropical Helmet.

WW2 Japanese Tropical Helmet, made from a bamboo framework with cotton lining and a heavier duty cotton covering. Inner cotton bands and chinstrap allowed wear in it's own right or on top of the steel helmet. Two cotton labels to interior giving manufacturing details and one for owner's details, brass Imperial Army star to front. Clearly has seen heavy use with sweat staining and wear to the interior with minor contemporary repairs to cotton bands. However, the inner framework is intact with light fading and staining to cotton cover. Good example of a worn item of Japanese headgear.
