Royal Naval Patrol Service Silver Badge.

A die - struck silver badge designed to be worn on the sleeve by men of the Royal Naval Patrol Service after 6 months service. Trawlers crewed by fishermen with NCO s and officers drawn from RNR made up the bulk of the service initially but this was expanded to provide purpose built vessels and full time naval personnel. The design of the badge was created by Kruger Gray a well known artist and medal designer. The design symbolised the work of both the minesweeping and the anti-submarine personel. In good , clean condition with registered design number to reverse.
