WW2 Non Military Personnel Field Service Cap.

High quality officer's field service cap by Gieves Ltd, Bond St bearing the badge worn by Non Military Personnel. This badge was worn by civilians such as engineers, scientists and some war correspondents who were attached to the invasion forces to prevent being shot as spies in the advent of capture. Size 7 1/8 cap in generally good condition with two areas of moth damage 4 - 5mm on the body of the cap and a 2mm hole to skirt. Very clean interior with little sign of wear , some oxidisation to buttons. Uncommon.
