WW2 War Aid Battledress Blouse - Rough Riders.

1943 dated War Aid, BD Blouse, badged to a Captain in the Rough Riders. Size 13 5' 11" to 6ft, Chest 38" -39" with embroidered shoulder titles and padded arm of service strips with Captain rank to shoulders. Double labelled with manufacturing details, dates, contracts etc with name ' Capt Longman ' in pen. Evidence of tailoring to collars and front opening. In excellent, clean condition with a 5mm moth hole to collar .
The Rough Riders were the 11th (City of London Yeomanry) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, RA, part of which served in a defensive role at Bentley Priory, the RAF's Fighter Command HQ in Stanmore, Middlesex. The rest of the regiment remained in London during the Blitz. Service in North Africa and Italy followed from 1942 to the end of the war.
