Japanese One Thousand Stitch belt.

Cotton Japanese Senninbari or one thousand stitch belt. The belt was worn around the waist under the shirt or uniform as a good luck charm. The symbolic 1000 stitches are hand painted with temple chop seals to either end of the text. Enclosed within the belt is another temple offering probably an inscribed piece of bamboo. Excellent clean condition with all ties intact.
