SUPER GROUP OF 5 THIRD REICH COURT-'FRAKSPANGE' MOUNTED-RARE.

This is a very nice, but most unusual court mounted group of 5 medals. Consisting of the EK2, War Merit with swords, Russian Front, 4 year Long Service, 12 year long service in gold. All the medals are in great condition and beautifully mounted on a red backing. The strange thing is they are mounted in 'REVERSE' ie, from right to left, instead of the normal left to right and at a slight angle. I have been reliably informed that this configuration is called "Frackspange", and was for wear on a Mess dress jacket or CIVILIAN TUXEDO, hence the strange angle!. A really stunning looking group, and Third Reich groups are difficult to find like this. The reverse had a makers label sewn to the red fabric, but that has been cut out.
