3rd Patt F.S.Knife with Wilkinson etch.

Introduced from 1942 the 3rd Pattern F.S. knife was the zenith of FS knives formulating the design and method of production that is still used today. This example has the Wilkinson Sword logo etched to one side of the blade, although faint against the deep blackened finish. Contained in a flat bottomed chape scabbard typical of Wilkinson products. Both items in good condition with some minor surface corrosion, scabbard in excellent condition although elastic retainer missing and with small holes in either tab and to the top of the scabbard. Uncommon.
