Japanese Good Luck Flag.

Japanese yosegaki hinomaru or good luck flag. Approx 83 x 68cms printed on silk with two leather reinforced corners and cotton ties. This example is covered in a profusion of characters with prominent larger characters forming the exhortation ' Ki Buun Chokyu ' translating as ' I pray that your military fortunes are long lasting.'
Both leather corner reinforcements are intact with some very minor contemporary staining and fold marks. Good large example which is possibly the busiest example I have handled.
