OSS Crossbow arrow - Little Joe.

Designed in 1943 and built and tested later that year, the OSS experimented with a series of crossbows in an effort to provide an effective silent weapon. This wood and steel, bodkin tipped, penetrating arrow was designed for use in the ' Little Joe Crossbow ' . Although field trialled and exported to England it was not thought any of the crossbows were used in anger although their performance was impressive. One Little Joe crossbow still exsists in the Pattern Room Collection.In excellent condition and very scarce.
