Grouping of medals, insignia and paperwork to sunstantive sergeant 6344037 James Oliver of the 1st Btn. Queens Own Royal West Kent Regt. Oliver was with the BEF and returned via Dunkirk, subsequently qualifying as a PTI. Curiously his Certificate of Regular Service states home service whilst medal slip and medals indicate other service including award of silver wound badge! Paybook indicates award of 39 Star. Other insignia present including capbadge with stamped service number. All items in good used condition contained in old cigar box, further research required.
