Imperial Japanese wounded in action grouping.

A scarce Imperial Japanese China Incident grouping consisting of a cased 1937 China Incident medal and original named service book with contemporary service records and notations. Book contained in named canvas cover to an Army Infantry Private Ryosuke Ogawa of the 27th Imperial Infantry Regt. He was born in 1914 and was enlisted in the Reserve in August 1939 and subsequently wounded in the left side of the chest in Feb.1940 and was treated in Asahikawa hospital. He left hospital in May 1940 and was discharged from the army as a result. Medal in NEF condition with service book in excellent,clean condition.
