A .65” Smooth bore ordnance issue percussion musket.

A good example of a two band Ordnance issue .65" smooth bore percussion musket for native troops. Carbine features an 1856 dated Tower percussion lock and an Ordnance proofed smoothbore barrel of .65” calibre which is fitted with a standing rear sight and broad front sight. Stamped 'N.S.BEN' near rear sight with various faint inspection and issue marks to the walnut stock. Good crisp action and clean bore with one old repair to a split near the rear band. Blued overall, now turned to a pleasing brown with clean woodwork. Good clean example.
