RAF battledress escape button compass.

A ’plastic’ battledress escape and evasion button compass. Compass appears as an innocuous button. Black plastic button with magnetised points, marked to its reverse with dots. It was used, suspended from cotton thread and then swung freely. Excellent working order. This was intended for use with the RAF battledress. Uncommon.
