WW1 Imperial German Musician's grouping.
WW1 Imperial German Musician's grouping comprising a Fife, Schwalbennester, and an official Heeresmusikkorps stamp. The Fife is made of black ebony with silver plated fittings and is maker marked 'Gebr.Monnig-Markneukirchen' and is in excellent condition. The Schwalbennester (Swallow's nests) worn on the shoulder, particular to German military musicians are made from coloured wool mounted onto a heavy blanket material with five fixing hooks to the reverse. In excellent, bright and clean condition. To complete the grouping is a hardwood and brass official stamp for ' 1 Heeresmusikkorps 6 ', again in good condition.
