OSS Tyre spike or Caltrop.

Based on a medieval design to stop horses this WW II OSS designed Caltrop was intended to puncture tyres with the intention of bringing a vehicle to a halt enabling it to be ambushed. Designed so one of the four chisel edged prongs always faced upwards. In good condition with some very minor areas of surface corrosion ( easily removeable ). Scarce item.
