WW2 British Generator, Lachrymatory, No. 2 Mk IV.

Uncommon WW2 British Generator, Lachrymatory, No. 2 Mk IV. The device was a pyrotechnic smoke grenade designed primarily for riot control and training. Rather than exploding, it burned at a very high temperature to release a thick cloud of irritating chemical smoke. It was filled with CN gas (chloroacetophenone), the standard tear gas of that era and marked B2 to the body indicating this fact. The device was initiated by using a Brock igniter. In reasonable condition with much original paintwork and markings present but with a bruise and corrosion to one side.
