WW2 Japanese Officer's Field Cap.

A good example of a WW2 Japanese Officer's field cap. Constucted from high quality olive twill with bullion Imperial star to front. Stitch reinforced peak with leather chinstrap secured by gilt buttons with chrysanthemum motif. Three grommet ventilation holes to both sides. Silk interior lining with yellow embroidered characters and leather headband with cord size adjustment to reverse. Generally very good condition with one ventilation grommet now absent, cracking to chinstrap, and some, now repaired separation to top seams of body.
