WW2 Infantry Soldbuch, Wehrpass, Dogtag grouping.
Contained in a special Wehrpass cover this grouping consists of a Soldbuch, Wehrpass, dogtag and paperwork to Uffz.Gotthard Rottloff who initially joined 4.(MG) komp/Inf.Ers.Btl.32 to which his dogtag is made out to. Serving with 4./J.R.185 Rottloff saw service in Russia where he gained the Ostmedaille, Infantry Assault, Black wound badge, KVKII with swords and EKII all gained within a year 1942/43. It would appear that he became an officer cadet before joining what appears to be a Pz.Grenadier Regt. He was subsequently made a POW as evidenced by a pass made out to a now Lt.Rottloff by a camp at Munster. A neat complete grouping to an Infantry veteran who worked his way through the ranks.
