Wehrpass and Dog tag Medic's grouping.
An ephemera, Wehrpass and dog tag grouping to a medic NCO. Uffz. Heinrich Metz, a pre-War member of the DRK as evidenced by his DRK ausweis went onto serve with a number of Reserve hospitals before joining various medical units including 2.( Marschkomp ) San.Ers.u.Ausbild.-Abt.9, 2 San.Komp.715( mot ) before ending up with 5 Coast.Guard Bn.686 with whom he was serving when captured in April 1945. His original dog tag was marked ' Res.Laz.Hombg.v.d.H.I. '. It is apparent from his Wehrpass that Metz. became a San.Uffz. in 1942 and was serving in Italy in the later part of the war. Grouping includes a number of ausweiss and various other period pieces of ephemera. Plenty of scope for further research. All items in good, clean condition.
