WRAF Cap - 1950s Transition style.

An uncommon, short lived pattern of cap adopted by the WRAF in the early 1950's. Cap is manufactured in felt on a hard shell, with plastic chinstrap secured by black plastic KC RAF buttons. A plastic KC cap badge is mounted on a black half ribbon. Leather headband to interior with original manufacturers label ' 22L/796, Size 7 Failsworth Hats Ltd 1952 ' with broad arrow. This style of cap bridges the gap between the wartime soft WAAF cap and the later WRAF "stewardess" type cap. Good, clean overall condition with some minor moth grazes.
