An example of a German S-MiZ 35 (Schrapnellmine-Zünder 35) the primary pressure-activated, instantaneous igniter for the German AP S-mine ( "Bouncing Betty" ). Featuring a 3-pronged head that triggered the mine with roughly 15 lbs ( 7kg )
of pressure, firing a 4 second delay charge to launch the mine. This example, manufacture marked RR is unusual in being left in bright aluminium rather than the standard anodised finish complete with phenolic screw off protector. Can be dis-assembled.
