15/Jag.Rgt.75 Casualty Wehrpass grouping.

Wehrpass and photograph grouping to Uffz.Jakob Treis who was killed in Russia on 18.02.42 serving with 15/Jag.Rgt.75. Treis previously served with Pz.Jg.Zg.Inf.Rgt.579, I.R.80, 463, 506 and 504 achieving the rank of Unteroffizer in August 1940. A well documented service record shows Treis present with the advance through the Low Counties and fighting in France throughout June 1940. Subsequently deployed for service on the Belgian coast he briefly returned to Germany before embarking for Russia where he was killed a scant fortnight after arrival.
Grouping is accompanied by 29 b/w photos of various sizes with studio portraits of Tries, his subsequent service, family etc and several view of his grave the site of which is recorded in the Wehrpass. All in good, clean condition.
