An example of the wooden handled 3rd Patt. Fighting Knife. Of wartime construction contained in a Wilkinson's style of scabbard. Clear signs of sharpening and use with a chip to the handle and some hairline cracks. The scabbard has been modified by the removal of the elastic retainer and the cutting of the scabbard body to retain the knife in the scabbard in a more positive manner. A good example of a well used and field modified knife.
