WW2 A.I.D. Badge.

Probably WW1 period ' Aeronautical Inspection Directorate 'lapel badge. Red enamel gilt title circlet surmounted by a Crowned wing 'On H.M. Service' with 'A.I.D' to centre on black enamel ground, the reverse impressed with official issue number ' 8364 '. Good condition, complete with buttonhole lapel fitting, undamaged enamel with minor surface abrasions. Height 32mm.
