WW2 USAAF Casualty Dog Tag.

Dog Tag to 0-554389 1st Lt.Wendel J.A.Nelson of the 359th FS, 356th Fighter Group. Having taken off from Martlesham Heath on 13/01/1945, Nelson was killed when his P-51D Mustang dived into the ground from altitude. It was believed that he suffered from anoxia causing him to lose consciousness. The dog tag was recovered from the crash site at Bridge Farm, Grundisburgh sometime in the 1970s. In good condition accompanied by some research.
