British 1917 No.23 MkII Grenade.

WW1 No.23 Mk.II Hand Grenade, known more colloquially as the ' Mills '. Good example with a rough cast finish and a 1917 dated base plug by ' ESH/L. ' ( E.S. Hindley & Sons, Bourton, Dorsetshire ) and a steel filling plug. Residual pink filling ring ( 50% ). Body marked with a ' C '. All parts present and fully strippable.
