Victorian Army Form B.50 - Seaforth Highlanders.

Army Form B.50 better known as the Soldiers' Small Book which contained his personal details as well as notes and observations including, physical description, education and skills.
This leather bound example was issued to 2956 James Mowat, Seaforth Highlanders. Mowatt joined the regiment in 1891 from his home in Kirkwall, Orkney and saw service in India. Good, used condition, elastic retainers now slack.
