West Wall Medal in Packet.

Packeted Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen by Ferd. Hoffstatter. Early Tombac construction with attractive finish. The award was instituted on 2 August 1939 and was given to those who designed and built the fortifications on Germany's western borders, known as the West Wall. It was again awarded to those who took part in the fortification of the western borders in expectation of the Allied invasion. In excellent condition, titled packet with manufacturer's details to reverse with creasing etc. accompanied by a length of unissued ribbon.
