British 16th Lancers Other Ranks Chapka Helmet.

A good example of an early 20th Century 16th Lancers O/Rs Chapka Helmet. King's Crown post 1902 brass plate with full undress plume contained in a holder with a Lancers button. Helmet emblazoned with red and yellow bands with similarly coloured plume bed. Leather bodied troopers full dress helmet with black cloth mortar board with patent leather top mounted to corners with brass mounts. Leather headband with a unit mark and date to interior of peak. Full undamaged scales with a set of unit cords.Untouched, dusty condition with crazing to patent leather finish. Impressive looking item of iconic cavalry headwear.
