1883 Pattern Japanese Naval Officer's Dirk

A true a/f souvenir 1883 Pattern Japanese Naval Officer's dirk recently recovered from a loft. 22cm single edged blade with fullers and recurving cross guard. This example has the correct early shark skin covered wire bound grip with brass mounts with the dirk contained in brass mounted leather scabbard. This particular example is truely in ' as found ' condition and has never been in a collection. It would reward careful restoration and is priced accordingly.
