A good example of a British WW2 Airborne jump qualification wing. Embroidered to produce a high relief with stylised feathers with the parachute in lower relief . The wings embroidered directly onto a khaki wool with cheesecloth type backing. Colouring remains with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform.
